Dr Kiely Kim MBBS.Hons, FRACGP – Medico-legal adviser and general practitioner
Kiely graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 and obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2003. Prior to joining MDA National in April 2019 she was a medical educator for GP registrars.
Kiely works as a Medico-legal Adviser three days a week and continues to work as a general practitioner part-time.
Her role at MDA National is to provide in-house medical opinions and assist Members with medico-legal enquiries.

Claudine Watson–Kyme LLB. Hons, RN – Medico-legal adviser
Claudine has 18 years’ experience as a defendant insurance litigation lawyer, specialising in health, medical negligence and personal injury litigation. A former nurse, she brings to the role a wealth of healthcare knowledge and first-hand healthcare experience. During her career, Claudine has represented and provided a broad range of advice to NSW Health Agencies, medical practitioners and allied health providers in liability claims, coronial inquests and disciplinary matters.
Claudine is a lecturer in medicine and law at the University of Technology and has been recognised in the peer-review guide, Best Lawyers in Australia, as a leading lawyer in insurance law and medical negligence since 2017.
Dr Rachel Ryan MBBS.Hons, FRANZCOG – Obstetrician and gynaecologist
Rachel studied medicine at the University of Western Australia, receiving her medical degree with honours in 1998. After working for several years at Royal Perth Hospital, Rachel moved to Victoria where she undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Royal Women's Hospital and Geelong Hospital. Rachel is a Head of Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Dr Noel Collins MBBS MRCPsych FRANZCP PGDipCBT MSc – Psychiatrist
Noel is a psychiatrist based in rural Western Australia with interests in psychogeriatrics, medical sociology, and psychotherapies (mentalization based therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy).
